Hi there, I’m Kim!
I’m passionate about helping neurodivergent and queer folks who are struggling with burnout. I aim to support you on your journey toward inner peace and self acceptance.
Who I am, and how I got here:
I became a counselor to provide the support I desperately needed when I felt the most alone in life. I've navigated neurodivergence (late-diagnosed ADHD), depression, anxiety, PTSD, sexual identity exploration, and liberation from substance dependence. I've also supported family members, friends, and partners who have navigated their own recovery.
I began my career in residential and inpatient treatment settings, IOP, and drug court programs. While I loved working in these spaces, I stepped away due to burnout. That experience taught me the importance of self-care and community support. It also taught me how to show up for myself and others as a happy, healthy, whole, and authentic person. My own healing journey shapes the work I do and the space I hold with my clients today.
Who I help:
I help queer and neurodivergent adults grappling with burnout. Within these spaces, I enjoy working with college students, teachers, medical professionals, and other folks who work in high-stress and high-pressure careers.
How I help:
I value the therapeutic relationship deeply and believe without it, real progress isn’t possible. While therapeutic modalities are important, I know that much of the healing happens through the rapport and safety we build together. I'm continuously learning to better assist my clients in processing and letting go of what no longer serves them. My clients might describe me as a no-BS therapist who blends humor, authenticity, and psychoeducation. I aim to create a space where you can be yourself—no masks, no filters. Together, we’ll tackle the tough stuff while empowering you to unlock your full potential and live with more clarity, confidence, and balance.
Off the clock:
When I’m off the clock, I enjoy hiking with my dog Lucy, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, learning to cross stitch, traveling, and kayaking. I spend warmer months cruising on at the lake with my dad and Lucy :)
